Providing fundamental knowledge to New Hires while working to sharpen skills necessary to be effective in their roles.

After a kick-off workshop, we train you for success through 9 impactful leadership courses.
Certified Field Trainers receive priority consideration for promotion to supervisory roles in their department.

Certified Field Trainer Program
program objectives
Westgate’s Certified Field Training (CFT) Program provides line-level Team Members the support to grow into emerging leaders. This peer training and mentorship program is unique in the hospitality industry, giving Westgate a foundation as a true leader in people development.
Team Members selected to participate in the CFT program will complete coursework on how to coach, mentor, and train effectively to become a true partner in the personal and professional growth of each Team Member.

Program Guidelines
Each Resort Department has a set number of CFT positions based on staffing at max occupancy. Your leader will communicate open CFT positions and eligible Team Members may apply using the button below.
Qualifications
To qualify to become a CFT, a Team Member must have been employed in their current position for at least 6 months with no written disciplinary warnings. Team Members under 6 months of tenure may be considered if they have prior training experience. Eligible CFTs must be hourly Team Members below supervisory level.

Additional Compensation
CFTs earn an additional $1.00 per hour to perform training duties to support their team.
